This Maimon Beach Horseback Riding Adventure combines tropical scenery, countryside and Caribbean coastline in an approximately two-hour shore excursion created specifically for cruise ship passengers.
With pick-up available for guests arriving at both Amber Cove and Taino Bay, getting to your horseback riding adventure is easy. From the port area, you will head towards Maimon, a beautiful coastal area west of Puerto Plata surrounded by green hills, tropical vegetation and the Caribbean Sea.
Explore Maimon on Horseback
Once you arrive in Maimon, it is time to get on horseback and begin exploring.
The experience takes you through the picturesque surroundings of Playa Maimon and onto the beach, where you can enjoy the scenery from a completely different perspective. Ride across the sand with the Caribbean Sea beside you and the lush hills of Puerto Plata forming the backdrop.
The Maimon portion of the excursion lasts approximately 90 minutes, giving you time to enjoy the surroundings, the beach and the horseback riding experience without feeling rushed.
Along the way, your guide accompanies the group as you explore the area. There is also time for a short break, giving both riders and horses a chance to rest and providing another opportunity to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

This excursion is specifically arranged for cruise ship passengers visiting Puerto Plata and includes pick-up and drop-off at the designated meeting points for both of Puerto Plata’s cruise terminals.
Amber Cove
The meeting point is outside the main gate, on the left-hand side.
Taino Bay
The meeting point is outside Gate 5, in front of the police station.
You will receive detailed meeting and pick-up information before your cruise departure so that you know exactly where to meet your Eric Tours representative when you arrive in Puerto Plata.

You agree and accept that all tour itineraries may vary due to tidal and weather conditions without prior notice. The tour operator is experienced and any changes made will be for your safety and comfort during the trip.
Cancellation due to weather; all of our tours that can be booked through this site can be considered outdoor, all-weather activities. If you decide to cancel your booking due to unfavorable weather conditions and the tour operator deems that the weather conditions are safe enough to allow the tour or activity to take place, no refund will be given.
In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled by the tour operator ( for any reason ), you will be given a full refund, or be allowed to reschedule for an alternative date, at no additional cost.
If you cancel Amber Cove & Taino Bay Shore Excursions or Day Trips, less than 48 hours before your intended date of participation, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
In the event of the cruise ship being unable to dock in Taino Bay or Amber Cove, a full refund of the paid price will be given.

Cancellation policy for Private Charters and tours: If you cancel less than 7 days before your intended date of participation, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
In the event that you fail to participate on any booked tour, arrive late or depart early, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
The tour operator is not responsible or liable for death, illness, injury to any person, or loss of or damage to any property, delay, injury, accident, theft or negligence caused to any client.
